When 20 year old James
Ratcliffe, died Monday evening, he was nowhere near a burning building. On Lake
of Two Mountains, with three other firefighters, Ratcliffe was conducting a
standard water-rescue training session when he was ejected from the fire
department's Zodiac boat and hit his head on its motor. His was the first
fatality in the history of the
Hudson
fire department
James Ratcliffe and two other volunteer
firefighters from
Hudson
were taking an introductory training session on driving a water rescue boat.
